Susan Setta - Choir Director

Susan and her husband, John Weagraff, transferred their membership to Natick FCC from another of John Eliot’s churches – the Eliot Church of Newton—in 1985.  She sang in our choir and became its director when the music ministry expanded to include both an organist and choir director.  Her music background includes piano study (that went well) and college study in organ (not as successful).  She occasionally substitutes as a worship musician, especially when the weather is extremely bad (she lives near the church and has four wheel drive).

Susan studied music in college, directed church and concert choirs, served as the music unit director for a Girl Scout camp and worked as the vocal director for summer stock musical theater.  When not directing FCC’s choir and making continuous pleas for congregation members to join the choir, she serves as Chair of  Philosophy and Religion at Northeastern University.  There, she specializes in comparative ethics, new religious movements, and women in religion.
